- Audiovisual preservation
- Digitisation of film collections
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information selected the Memorist company Vectracom to preserve important historical video footage (sport, religious gatherings, political meetings, youth programmes, etc.) that had deteriorated over time.
To meet the requirements of this project, Vectracom created a state-of-the-art audiovisual preservation facility, with in situ digitization workshops. These spaces were designed – down to the smallest detail – to maximise productivity and optimize ergonomics. This ensured the project could be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Deploying our know-how, software solutions and equipment to Kuwait allowed us to identify all the media concerned, some of which are over 70 years old. Vectracom is the only company to have maintained equipment for audiovisual formats no longer in active use, which allowed our experts to play and preserve tapes dating from the 1950s.
